Introduction

This introduction is intended for commercial teams and tech teams and explains what WAI is, why you should be using it and how to integrate it into your existing marketing stack.

WAI is the next generation of our mobile customer activation platform where we’ve taken all the knowledge we gained during the previous 7+ years doing customer communications and combined that with the data of 100 million+ customer interactions we’ve executed for clients. This combination of expert human knowledge and data enables our platform to convert more of your customers with tailored individual messages and by leveraging modern machine learning techniques automatically optimize our communication so it will become better over time.

Once you’re up and running on the WAI platform everything is automated from your perspective and there is a low amount of actions needed from your side. However, there are some onboarding steps which need to be completed before having full access to WAI.

API Specification

The API aims to allow our clients to build technical integrations where their systems communicate directly with the Wiraya platform in order to use Wiraya Activation Intelligence.

Syntax and interoperability

The API is structured as a RESTful endpoint, meaning that the URL encodes the resource and the HTTP method defines the action.

As an API primarily intended for data ingress, there’s no implementation for DELETE operations.

The Content-Type of the requests to the API is defined to be application/json with the UTF-8 character set. The JSON standard (RFC4627) defines how certain primitive types such as strings, integers, floats, objects, and arrays are to be encoded, but complex types such as datetime has no literal syntax provided. To that end, this specification defines that in communicating with the WAI API, dates are to be encoded according to the ISO 8601 standard: “2016-04-11T09:11:43Z” or “2016-04-11T09:11:43.573921Z”. Note that the trailing “Z” is the ISO8601 designation for UTC.

Rate Limiting

In order to ensure stable system performance and fair access for all API clients to shared resources, Wiraya may impose usage restrictions in the form of rate limits.

Such rate limits may vary between endpoints and will be applied at our discretion. As much as possible, any rate limit will be set as to not cause undue restrictions for any reasonable, supported use case.

How to Schedule a Campaign?

1. Upon successful login, expand the Campaigns module from the left navigation bar.

2. From the options revealed, click Schedule Campaign. This takes you to the Campaign Schedule screen.

3. Select the campaign you want to launch using the Select Campaign dropdown.

4. Select the contact list for which you want to launch the campaign using the Select List dropdown. All lists created from the Contact Lists module are populated here.

How to Cancel a Scheduled Campaign?

1. Once on the Dashboard, navigate to the Scheduled Campaigns grid.

2. For a campaign you want to cancel, click the three-dot icon located at the end of the campaign row. This reveals a couple of options.

3. From these options, click Cancel.

This will cancel all the future attempts that are not yet queued.

Naming Conventions

For the Contact, Events, and Metrics entities a common name standard should be used to secure proper usage of the values in analytics and reporting. The names are case sensitive.

How to Create a Voice Module?

1. Follow the workflow mentioned above to land on the Message & Voice Modules screen.

2. Click the + New Module button. This opens the Campaign Details screen.

3. Name your voice module using the Name of the Voice Action field.

4. Select the language in which you want to create the module using the Language dropdown.
