# How to Add a Contact Attribute?

***This section is only visible if you are an admin user***

**Optimized** A**pp > Left Navigation Bar > Organizational Settings > Contact Attributes**

**1.** Follow the above-mentioned workflow to land on the Attributes grid.

**2.** Click the + Create Attribute button. Doing so opens the Add Attribute popup.

**3.** Here, use the Name field to enter the name of the attribute.

**4.** Select the type (String or Number) of the attribute using the Type dropdown.

**5.** Once the required information is filled, click the Add button.
